Washing away aging body odor with Deoco deodorant body cleanse - Japanese Body Wash
Have you heard of a body wash that focuses on removing body odour which increases as we age? Today I am sharing with deoco deodorant body cleanse, a revolutionary body wash that does just that and more.
I haven’t been able to find a body wash in the UK that specifically aims at preventing or alleviating body odour, and I feel that deoco body wash has a really good approach to tackle the cause of body odour, rather than trying to mask it with body spray or perfume. Deoco body wash is great for women in their 30’s and onwards, for improving body odour that tends to change as we get older.
Why our body odour changes as we age
Rohto, deoko’s manufacturer, has found through research that our body odour changes as we age because lacton level drops. On top of that, after the age of 40, our cells are more prone to oxidization, which is another cause of body odour.
Normal body soap cannot wash off “ageing odour”
One of the characteristic ingredients in deoco body wash is lacton, which we lose as we age. It helps our skin smell nicer, just like when we were once young.
Sebum is also one of the causes of odour when it oxidizes, and deoco uses white clay to help dissolve it. Although because of its cleansing properties, if you have dry skin or sensitive skin, you might find the body wash quite drying and in need of moisturizing afterwards.
I personally don’t have sensitive skin and always moisturize after a bath or a shower, so I haven’t found it an issue.
Turning back time to when you smelled sweet?!
Young women are said to smell sweet, of peach and coconut, because of the higher lacton levels. I personally cannot say they do, and it’s hard to tell if I do by using deoco body wash, but there are lots of reviews and comments that their skin has a faintly nice scent, and that the body odour has gone. I like the idea of reducing body odour by washing sebum away and with a little help of lacton rather than trying to cover it up by a strong scent like perfume.
You may not notice your body odour during the winter months as much as in the summer, but it’s a nice way to up your personal hygiene and make it a routine to the run-up to the warmer months!
