Nivea UV Super Water Gel Pump SPF 50：Product Review SUMMER 2022
Nivea products are my long-time favorite. Some of you may not know about Nivea UV Super Water Gel series, which are only sold in Japan. They are lightweight and smooth, and definitely the best sunscreen for daily use. I don’t remember when I started to use Nivea Super Water Gel Pump SPF 50. It has always been around me along with other Nivea products. I guess it’s because this sunscreen has the features I require for daily sun care products. It is made to be handy, affordable and friendly to sensitive skin.
Nivea UV Super Water Gel Pump is Handy!
Nivea UV Super Water Gel Pump is in easy-to-use pump dispenser, which makes it quick to apply all over on face and body. It also comes with a cap, so it’s possible to carry. When I drive to a country park, have a nice picnic or something, I always put it in my basket or bag. If you prefer a small tube, choose a tube type. This Nivea sunscreen provides the same contents for each type of bottles. Japanese sunscreens are nice, but most of the time, face-appropriate sunscreens are too small in size. They run out so quickly! Even if they have a big pump bottle version, the same brand sunscreen has different formula for pump bottles preferable for body and tube bottles for face. This one from Nivea is for face and body, and you can choose from a small tube bottle or a big pump bottle (relatively cheaper). Of course, the texture itself is nice as well, which makes it easy to spread on the skin. It is completely light, has no stickiness, and leaves no chalky residues.
Affordable
As sunscreens are used every day, cost is a concern. In my case, a bottle of 140g lasts two or three months of daily use, using about half a teaspoon each time during summer. It’s really cost-effective. Here, I have to tell you that this one is not waterproof, so I wear other waterproof products when I go swimming on the beach. You might think I could wear the waterproof one every day, but there are reasons why I use a couple of different sunscreens depending on the occasion. I have sensitive combination skin, so strong waterproof sunscreens can make me break out or dry my skin out. I wear sunscreens to protect my skin every day, so I want to use skin-friendly products as much as possible. I wear waterproof products only when it is necessary. To be blunt, Nivea UV Super Water Gel may not keep a super strong protection. However, it has an excellent balance of protection and comfort. Additionally, high quality waterproof sunscreens with nice texture are relatively expensive, so Nivea UV Super Water Gel is a perfect choice for daily use.
Friendly to Sensitive Skin
I want to choose products which are gentle on the skin (and easy on the wallet) for daily use. Nivea UV Super Water Gel is free from mineral oil, synthetic fragrance, or synthetic colourant. This water-based sunscreen contains two types of hyaluronic acid and PG as moisturisers. Full ingredients are printed on the back in Japanese. It is very gentle and blends into the skin -almost like a lotion and can be removed with soap and water. This is another point I like about this product. I don’t have to use a strong remover, which dries out my skin or often irritates my eyes.

Perfect Protection for Daily Use
Some people say that we don’t have to worry too much about sun protection and we should just enjoy the sun. I agree to some extent that it’s nonsense if we miss the chance to enjoy our lives, avoiding sun exposure. However, I believe “prevention is better than cure.” I don’t want to complain about my damaged skin after I had fun in the sun. So, I take good care of my skin and wear sunscreens every day. And I’m a kind of lazy perfectionist. I feel lazy going out when there are any reasons to prevent. But as long as I’m prepared with this Nivea sunscreen to go out every day, I won’t miss the chance to have a good time under the sun!
