"No more worries for acne by Japanese miracle cleanser"
It’s true, Japanese women are known for their beautiful, flawless skin. I’d watch my favourite Japanese programs on Netflix and ogle at the screen, longing to change my acne prone, red face to that beautiful, flawless glow. I have searched and searched for years for products that can help transform my skin but wasn’t successful, until I tried the Japanese Fancl Deep Clear Washing Powder! What. A. Godsend. Let’s take a moment to shout “BANZAI!!”; is this the miracle cleanser I’ve been searching for?
I’m a caucasian female in my early thirties who has always been prone to acne. I suffer from those horrible red marks left by acne, stubborn blackheads and I have a dull complexion. I’m so sick of wearing foundation every day to try and cover these blemishes – after all, aren’t we supposed to let our skin breathe? We’ve read over and over that clogged pores = spots. Even though I thoroughly wash and cleanse my face EVERYDAY, I still get big spots around my jawline and forehead and blackheads all over my nose and chin. Acne cleansers tend to dry out my skin (am I right?!). I don’t just want to mimic that beautiful glow, I want to own it! I was honestly at my wits end until a Japanese friend of mine suggested Fancl Deep Clear Washing Powder.
At first I was a little taken aback… powder?! To wash your face?? Well that’s something new. I’ve always been used to liquid face washes, scrubs or bars… but never powder. I was eager to give it a go! I was shocked at the colour as it’s a darkish grey but I guess that’s expected as it’s a charcoal & clay infused powder. As it has enzymes in, it supposedly not only lifts dirt from the pores but also tightens those pores which makes your complexion look much more even and stops more dirt getting in! Bye bye blackheads, hello smooth skin! Win win!
A great point about this powder is that they come in tiny separate pods so you don’t overuse or underuse; a common hurdle with me when squeezing out my face wash. This packet contains 30 pods and suggests to use three times a week so that’s nearly three month’s worth of powder pods! I’ve been using my usual Clearasil face wash in between powder pod days.
It’s also more hygienic as you aren’t touching the lid or product every time you use it, it’s just one pod for one use then chuck the wrapper. Also if you’re going away, you don’t need to pack a massive bottle of face wash (just the amount of pods for how many days). It’s good for if you’re jetting off somewhere and only want to take carry on or even in your checked luggage it doesn’t even weigh half as much as full bottles of face wash. It has a little tab that makes opening the pod easy peasy lemon squeezy; especially good for slippery, wet, clumsy hands in the shower!
There’s no smell! I liked that as sometimes face washes can be rather pungent and overly long-lasting. Once you’ve opened the pod, you just pour the powder into your damp hands and rub together. Like magic right before your eyes it creates a lovely, thick foam – heaven for your face. You just gently rub your face with it and then rinse. Simple! What is fantastic is that my skin doesn’t feel tight after, it actually feels soft! It really feels like it’s locking in moisture but without making me breakout or feel greasy. I haven’t had any dryness like I have with other cleansers.
I’ve been using these for 4 months now and believe I have found the holy grail of cleansers! It really does minimize pores, I have fewer blackheads and I’ve noticed that I’m having fewer breakouts. My skin looks more even and those pesky spots around my forehead have disappeared. Most of all… the red marks from my previous acne around my jaw have started to fade! I can’t wait to see how my skin progresses the more I keep using it.
If I was to give these a rating out of 10, I’d give a 9.9. The reason I wouldn’t give it a 10 is that I’m a bit environment conscious and feel a little guilty about throwing away the pod wrappers after every use… but apart from that I think it’s a magical product that I recommend anyone with complexion hang-ups to try! You won’t be disappointed and you will have that beautiful, Japanese glow.
